Key Condo Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy describes the information Key Condo Management Ltd (“Key Condo”, “we”, and “us”) collects when a person or business (“you” or “your”) contacts or interacts with us.

Scope and Consent

This Privacy Policy applies to information we collect if you interact with one of our Condominium Corporation clients, even if you have not entered into an Agreement with us. However, this Privacy Policy does not describe the practices of other users of our Services, including your Condominium Corporation and its Directors or Vendors, that may collect information about you when you interact with them through our Services.

 

Personal Information
This Privacy Policy applies to any personal information we collect or receive about you, from you, or any other source. “Personal information” as used in this Privacy Policy refers to any information that identifies, relates to, describes, or is reasonably capable of being associated with a particular individual and that is recorded in any form (such as your name, your phone number, your postal and email address, your bank account details, and your signature, as further defined in the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (“PIPEDA”) and Personal Information Protection Act ("PIPA"). We will only use and disclose such personal data as described in this Privacy Policy.
 

Your Choices and Rights
Please note that even if you have indicated your choice not to receive commercial emails or commercial phone calls from us, we may still communicate with you in connection with a Service, in accordance with applicable law.


Use and Sharing of Your Personal Information
We may use information about you to:

  • Operate our business;

  • Provide our Services;

  • Respond to your inquiries or complaints;

  • To protect our rights or property, or the security or integrity of our Services;

  • To comply with any applicable law, regulation, legal process, or governmental request; 

  • Process your job application;

  • For any other purpose disclosed to you in connection with our Services.

We may use third-party service providers to process and store your information in Canada, United States, and other countries. 


Retention
The length of time we keep your personal data depends on what it is and whether we have an ongoing business need to retain it. ​We’ll retain your personal data for as long as we have a relationship with your Condominium Corporation and for a period of time afterwards where we have an ongoing business need to retain it, in accordance with our data retention policies and practices. Following that period, we’ll make sure it’s deleted or anonymized.


Security
We take reasonable measures, including administrative, technical, and physical safeguards, to protect your information from loss, theft, misuse, and unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, and destruction. We hold information about you with the assistance of third-party service providers. 


In the event that any information in our possession or under our control is compromised as a result of a security breach, we will take reasonable steps to investigate the situation and, where appropriate, notify those individuals whose information may have been compromised and take other steps in accordance with applicable laws or regulations.

Please note that when you access any external links from Key Condo’s Sites, they may have different privacy policies specific to those Sites. We are not responsible for such Sites, and we encourage you to read all privacy policies posted on the web sites that you visit.


Amendment
We may amend this Privacy Policy from time to time by posting a revised version and updating the “Last updated” date above. The revised version will be effective at the time we post it. We encourage you to review this Privacy Policy whenever you use our Services to stay informed about our information practices and the choices available to you.

If you have any questions or concerns regarding our policy, or if you believe our policy relating to the protection of your personal information have not been respected, you may file a complaint with our Privacy Department listed above, and will respond to let you know who will be handling your matter and when you can expect a further response. We may request additional details from you regarding your concerns and may need to engage or consult with other parties in order to investigate and address your issue. We will keep records of your request and any resolution. If you are dissatisfied with the results of our investigation or any resulting corrective measures, you may be entitled to make a written submission to the Office of the Information and Privacy Commissioner of Alberta (OIPC):
